Retiree Benefits

Retirees who meet the eligibility as outlined below have the option of continuing their medical, base vision, dental, life and long term care coverage.

Your retiree coverage will continue until the month before you reach age 65. You can also continue to cover your legal spouse up to one month before reaching age 65 and your dependent children up to age 26 who were covered at the time of your retirement. Please note that once retiree coverage ends, coverage for your dependent children will also end even if your spouse continues coverage. Dependent children cannot remain on coverage if the retiree is not covered.

You cannot continue coverage under the Genesco plan if you are eligible for any other coverage as an employee through another employer.

Plan Choices

To be eligible for retiree medical you must have been covered by a medical plan sponsored by Genesco at the time you retired. You must also meet either of the following requirements:

Requirements:

At least age 55 with 15 years of service (Age + Years of Service = 70)
AND
Retired from full time employment on or before 12/31/2018; and
Qualified for retiree medical coverage under the terms of the Genesco Employee Benefit Plan in effect at that time

Requirements:

At least age 55 with 15 years of service (Age + Years of Service = 70)
AND
As of 12/31/2018, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must have reached at least age 45 and had at least 10 years of service; and
- Must retire from full-time employment on or after 1/1/2019
- At least age 55 with 15 years of service (Age + Years of Service = 70)
